Ketchikan is named after Ketchikan Creek, which flows through the town. Ketchikan has the world's largest collection of standing totem poles, found throughout the city and at four major locations, with most of the totems at Saxman Totem Park and Totem Bight State Park are recarvings of older poles, a practice that began during the Roosevelt Administration through the Civilian Conservation Corps. This is a 10 minute painting that was done as part of a 30 paintings in 30 days challenge I did in January 2016.

This is an original painting , painted with acrylics on 5" x 7" canvas board, completed with a coat of varnish.v Signed by the Artist Gloria Ester, and comes with an Authentication Certificate.
