I love lighthouses and just had to include one in this winter challenge. This light house is really called Pigeon Point Lighthouse and was built in 1871 to guide ships on the Pacific Coast of California. It is the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast of the United States, and is still an active Coast Guard aid to navigation.

This is an original painting , painted on a 6" x 9" canvas with a palette knife, and a bit of brush work for the finer details. I used gel medium and acrylics, completed with a coat of varnish. Sides of the canvas are painted, and it comes with a saw-tooth hook, on the back, for quick hanging. Signed by the Artist Gloria Ester, and comes with an Authentication Certificate.
